WHAT IS "THE WORKSHOP"?
A low-tech quarterly presentation of original dance, theatre, musical and literary works-in-progress at all stages of development. We welcome both short works or excerpts of full-length works with a maximum 15 minutes allotted per artist. Each session is followed by a carefully moderated, process-centered talk-back with the audience. Artists will also have the opportunity to solicit constructive feedback if they desire. WHEN WILL IT TAKE PLACE? The next workshop will take place on Saturday, January 18, 2014 from 2pm - 3:30pm. The deadline to apply is Monday, December 23, 11:59PM EST. Participants will be notified no later than Monday, January 6. WHAT IS THE SPACE LIKE? Grace & St. Paul's Church is a flexible performance and worship space. It has 100 movable wooden chairs, white walls suitable for projections, a piano, and wooden floors. The Ume Group can provide a speaker system for those who wish to playback recorded music and/or sound effects, but cannot provide an operator. This is a low-tech forum for works-in-progress. You can see pictures and read more on Grace & St. Paul's website. HOW CAN I PARTICIPATE? Fill out the form here. |
